Stem Cell treatment relieving Austin, TX dog’s pain

Owner Spotlight: Kim & Ezri Galusha

I want to share with you the story of a dog and his owner who compete in agility. Dogs that compete in sports may have different types of injuries than our companions, so if you compete in a sport there may be different symptoms such as limping or unwillingness to perform the activity.

Kim Galusha and her 10-year-old Border Collie, Ezri, were an agility team to be reckoned with. They have competed in dog agility events, and trials for years, until Ezri began to slow down and was showing signs of pain in her elbows. Kim took her to see Dr. Kerpsack at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital, where she was diagnosed with severe arthritis.

Kim decided to have Ezri treated with her own fat-derived stem cells, and a couple months later Kim says Ezri is back to her old self. Kim says, “You could just tell she had a real big attitude change. She wanted to play.”

Kim says she’s thrilled with the results since Ezri is happy and energetic again.
